I was so surprised how relevant and positive this show was, and I like how you've found the connection between how you've healthily approached your adoption and how the Pteranadon family did a similar thing in the show. That's one of the main things this website is about :)Addisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12732176527883570863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971426914329031578.post-61006297374338325162015-11-02T13:39:22.033-08:002015-11-02T13:39:22.033-08:00My wife and I recently adopted three children who ...My wife and I recently adopted three children who happen to be black. Our preschool boys love this show mostly because talking dinosaurs, but my wife and I love the show because of the trans-racial (trans-species?) adoption aspect of the show, and how it relates to our own family.

Color doesn't make you family. Love makes you family. While there are things that my wife and I didn't or don't have first-hand experience with to teach our children (skin and hair care, cultural history and identity, etc) we do our very best to help our children connect with their heritage with the help of our friends, coworkers, hair stylists, etc. The Pteranadons helping their son Buddy find out what it is to be a Tyranasaur mimics the journey that trans-racial families like us take to help our children understand how they fit into the world.PHankamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08395845151771797117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971426914329031578.post-70133217399365472622015-10-13T12:50:44.054-07:002015-10-13T12:50:44.054-07:00This was my first experience with it, but I was su...This was my first experience with it, but I was surprised how positive it was, too!Addisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12732176527883570863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971426914329031578.post-20976346142050809442015-10-09T17:45:40.923-07:002015-10-09T17:45:40.923-07:00I love this show.
