It is def raw in some parts but to me it was more realistic of what goes on with orphans and older kids who transition to an adoptive family, like mine. I loved how Anne and the family persevered, learned to love one another, and had a hopeful future as they pushed through the hard stuff.Hisgurlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00849638899393591733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971426914329031578.post-61152832227888059552017-07-08T09:47:18.116-07:002017-07-08T09:47:18.116-07:00Hi Lee Ann - thanks for your insight. Anne clearly suffers from PTSD and it's too realistically portrayed. Our girls haven't requested to watch it after the second episode.Lee Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14991690138093421918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971426914329031578.post-77521640868520238582017-06-29T20:15:27.101-07:002017-06-29T20:15:27.101-07:00Hi Julie, Thanks so much for your comment. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts :) Addisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12732176527883570863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971426914329031578.post-55507574937902397992017-06-27T17:02:05.330-07:002017-06-27T17:02:05.330-07:00You are spot on. This is a very raw and likely more realistic look at the treatment of orphans in this time period. It is NOT the softer Anne of Green Gables and if episode one seems too much, don't keep watching. My daughter LOVES it, but there were parts that drew quite some discussion including "becoming a woman" and why a teacher would be in love with a student.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17489938056626040444noreply@blogger.com
